Jim Behymer: a middle-aged father of 3, a senior systems engineer working in Incident Response, and mostly pretty ordinary.
In 2014 some Jim and his friends Thom and Josh started a website called Sandwich Tribunal with the goal of eating every sandwich listed on the Wikipedia List of Sandwiches and writing about them. Over the intervening decade, many of Jim’s friends have contributed to the site but for the most part these days, Sandwich Tribunal is all Jim.
In 2020, the Tribunal finished its first alphabetical run through the Wikipedia List of Sandwiches, then started another to hit the sandwiches they missed the first time around as well as new sandwiches suggested by readers and found in other sources. By now they’re halfway through the alphabet for the third time and the goal has changed: it has little to do with Wikipedia these days. Jim wants to eat and document *every* sandwich.
Jim also does some freelance writing on sandwiches, and has begun posting short videos about sandwiches on TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube. That’s how Jim, Barry, and Jon all met! The three of them bring different perspectives but similar levels of passion to everyone’s favorite subject: sandwiches!
